Copperfield Great Easter champion

-Copperfield ridden by the successful South Canterbury rider, Kathy Taylor, jumped the only '■lear round, to win the Great Easter Championship jump for B grade horses, at the annual Easter jumping show, held by the Canterbury Area of the Horse Society, at Methven. Taylor’s second horse. Captivation, took second place with four faults followed by Catrina Mackay on Tomai and Richard Hampton on Never Know who were equal third. The two round Futurity Stakes for novice and C grade horses resulted in an easy win for Brent Jury on Codey which jumped two clear rounds. Three were equal second with eight faults. Ground conditions for show jumping were perfect at the Methven Show Grounds, and combined with Mary Carmichael’s well built courses, provided the basis for good competition in most classes.
