Hospital treatment
Sir, — As Mrs Clarke is worried that people may be persuaded to. enter private hospitals rather than public ones I would like to state my experience. Some months ago when I required an operation I was told I had little chance of getting into a private hospital as most of the beds were filled by the medical insurance companies, and I would get attended to much quicker in a public hospital. I had a wait of three or four weeks only. I received excellent care and attention at Burwood Hospital, and would have no hesitation in going to a public hospital in the future. — Yours, etc., J. EDWARDS. March 27, 1980.
