The Strider class container ship Forum New Zealand, owned by Sea Containers, Ltd, which has been delivered on charter to the Shipping Corporation, of New Zealand. The ship is built in a selfsustaining roll-on configuration and is capable of lifting 350 six-metre containers. It will be manned by the Shipping Corporation and chartered to the Pacific Forum Line to fulfil a Government obligation to provide a vessel to the line. The ship will make its first working voyage from Auckland to the Pacific Islands.
