Community officer
Mrs Anne Maclean has been appointed the first community affairs officer of the Riccarton Borough Council.
She was appointed after a survey taken in Riccarton last year showed that residents wanted an officer to co-ordinate and arrange community activities. Mrs Maclean, who now works for the YM.C.A., will take up her new post with the council on April 10.
