Boat crash not wilful
PA Auckland A Supreme Court jury has found Pat Murray McQuarrie. a member of the Auckland Peace Squadron, not guilty on a charge of wilful damage. The charge arose from a collision on the Waitemata Harbour last year between a motorboat driven by McQuarrie and one used by the police. McQuarrie was involved in a demonstration against the arrival of the' U.S.S. Haddo, an American nuclear submarine.
Mr J. L. Cagney appeared fOr the Crown and Mr B. Littlewood for McQuarrie.
