Man hit on head with gun
A man was hit on the head with a pistol after three intruders buret into a house in Ensors Road, Opawa last evening. Detectives were still trying late last evening to unravel the story behind the incident, which occurred about 6.30 p.m. Two men and a woman were being questioned, but no charge had been laid. The police were also questioning 6ix persons who had been found in the house, at 15 Ensors Road. One of the occupants of the house had been hit on the head with a revolver after two men and a woman had arrived and a disturbance had broken out, a police spokesman said.
The man was not ser* ously injured. The two men and the woman left in a car, but were picked up by the police in the central city about 9 p.m. The incident was believed to have been an attempted robbery, but details were still sketchy late last evening.
