Lane Walker Rudkin, Ltd,! has moved into the area of selling winter sports balls, in what can be describe as a further diversification by the company. L.W.R. is distributing, marketing, and selling] rugby, rugby league, netball,! and foot balls under the; Adidas brand in what the; sales manager of the active! sportwear division (Mr R. J.: ; Cummins) described as part of the total Adidas clothing, fashionwear, arid allied lines marketed by his company.

I The balls are being madel for L.W.R. by an Auckland firm, Astra Fine Leatherware Ltd, under licence to Adidas of France. Quality control is strict, and random samples are sent once a : month to Adidas in France (for inspection on quality and i workmanship, and the qualify of the materials used. i I Adidas has always been |very concerned about top quality products, and noth-: ing is spared to make. the I balls an outstanding article,!
