Temperance delegation
■PA Wellington The Temperance Alliance yesterday called on the Minister of Justice (Mr McLay) to enact legislation closing all bars for tea between 6 p.m. and 7.15 p.m. Mr McLay had given the 'impression that he was sympathetic to the idea, said Mr T. J. Quayle, the leader of a delegation to the Minister yesterday morning. Mr McLay had told the delegation that he would have to consider its proposal in the light of a major reIview of New Zealand’s 'liquor laws which would Iprobably take place next year. Mr McLay was not available for comment after the I meeting.
