PA Auckland: An offer of $150,000 for Summer Haze has been declined. Dalgety . Bloodstock, acting , for American interests, approached the owner, Mrs G. M. Bryant, of Awakino, sev- • eral hours before the filly ran in the Welcome Stakes at Ellerslie yesterday. Mr Bryant said later his ; wife turned down the offer (because they did not want to lose the pleasure of seeing her race. “We’re in racing for the enjoyment. The money’s not so important,” said Mr Bryant. “Besides, we’re very attached to the filly. She’s like one of the family.”
