Plunket raises $380,000
The Plunket Society’s public appeal last month has raised more than $380,000. an increase of $16,000 on last year’s total. The society had hoped to raise $400,000, but the appeal organiser, Mrs Shirley Cornish, is pleased with the result. “So many urgent appeals for help are made these days, such as the Kampuchean relief appeal, and they all attract and deserve sup'port,” she said. “We are grateful that we did so well.” [ Money collected in Christ- [ church will be spent on [local nursing services.
