H. Pollard firms
Renewed buying interest in Henderson and Pollard saw its shares rise 15c to 300 c on an easy, but moderate New Zealand sharemarket yesterday. Pollard had sold as high as 320 c. last week, after speculation that a take-over bid was being made for the company. Market leaders were prominent in the falls, inchiding Fletcher Holdings down 4c, N.Z. 1 orest Products 3c, and N.Z. Steel 2c. Ernest Adams eased 5c to 180 c, after reporting a lower profit in its latest half-year.
