Maori concert tour
PA Auckland The Maori Affairs Department hopes to make a $lOO,OOO profit for its youthorientated Tu Tangata programme from a concert tour led by Howard Morrison. Government subsidies could push that figure to $200,000, which will be put into a trust fund and used on projects to be determined by Maori organisations.
I Mr Morrison will reform his quartet for the 22-venue i tour, which will start on November 6 at Wanganui. With him will be three ■ singers, Tina Cross, Eddie iLowe, and Toni Williams; Hthe Te Arawa Maori concert i party; and the Senators : Show Band. I. School pupils in each of lithe areas visited will also 'perform at the concerts.
