SYNCHRO MARKING

Scoring in synchronised swimming is very similar to that in diving. Points are awarded depending on how well a routine is performed.

Several factors are taken into consideration when determining the score from a maximum of 10. The variety, difficulty and poo! pattern of the routine are important. Each routine is performed to music (for underwater sequences it is relayed byspecial speakers) and interpretation of the music and synchronisation of the swimmers, both with the music, and each other, is also important. A marking guide is: Completely failed: 0 Unsatisfactory: | to 2|. Deficient: 3 to4-L Satisfactory: 5 to 6J. Good: 7 to BJ. Very good: 9 to 10.
