Representatives of the five nations
The Fourth Pan Pacific titles will be decided over two nights in the Queen Elizabeth II diving well. Competition starts both nights at 8 p.m. On Friday, after an opening ceremony attended by the Mayor (Mr Hay) and Minister for Recreation and Sport (Mr Highet), the solo and duet events will be held. The team title will be decided on Saturday night. Representatives of the five countries in the various events are: SOLO Australia: Donella Burridge. Canada: Helen Vanderburg. Japan: Yuki Ishii. United States: Linda Shelley.
New Zealand: Karen Gunbv. DUET Australia: Karen Gayfer, Lcrrae Gayfer. Canada: Lyne Carrier, Lyna Carrier. Japan: Yasuko Unezaki, Kinuyo Okada. United States: Michele Barcne, Linda Shelley. New Zealand: Janice Duncan, Janine Ramsey. TEAM Australia: Karen Gayfer, Lorrae Gayfer, Margaret Head, Donna Rankin, Lisa Stubback. Clare Templeman, Kerrie Turner, Brenda Chisolm. Canada: Marijo Poulin, Nancy Bedard, Lyna Carrier, Lyne Carrier, Sandra Mac Dermot, Martine Simard, Carolyn Ellis, Manon Cote.
Japan: Kazuno Fujiwara, Nobuko Kurokawa, Masae Fujiwara, Yuki Sakurai, Ikuko Abe, Kazuko Matsusaka, Miwako Motoyoshi, Saeko Kimura. United States: iMiehele Barone, Linda Shelley, Becky Price, Suzanne Cameron, Holly Spencer, Kathy Kish, Jenny Lauck, Julie Montgomery. New Zealand: Donna Alleman, Wendy Anink, Catherine Heagney, Janine Ramsey, Lynette Ramsey. New Zealand has only five in its team compared with eight for the other nations. To determine a placing New Zealand’s points will be averaged per competitor with that of the other nations.
