The institute’s anual conference, held at ln®rcargill, adopted a remit nd decided to find out he number and percentagepf claims involving uninsusd vehicles. Statistics will e obtained on the number f claims where the costs f • damage are not from the owner of an unit sured vehicle. If the institute executiv I is satisfied there i ’ sufficient evidence to sup port the introduction oi compulsory third party insurance, the institute will ask the Minister of Transport (Mr McLachlan) to consider the proposal.
