Escaper still sought
The police are in-1 yfstigating several reported sightings of a youth who escaped from the holding cells at the Magistrate’s; Court in Christchurch on Tuesday morning. 1 The youth. Michael Brooke Rodgerson. aged 16. was still at large late last evening in j spite of a big police search 1 in Christchurch and close ' police watches in other cen- j tres. *:
Rodgerson was waiting to appear in the Children and Young Persons Court when he escaped — by means which the police have not disclosed — about 10.40 a.m. Rodgerson is a European, about 173 cm (sft Bin), of medium build, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing faded blue jeans, a brown woollen jersey, and brown shoes.
