Service clubs’ convention
Sir, — I had the privilege last week of being the chairman and the president of the World Council of Young Men’s Service Clubs’ annual convention for which the Round Tables of New Zea land were hosts. I wish to thank the people of your city for the support that was given to the convention committee, by not only the public but various business houses and individuals. Their contribution meant that we had the most enjoyable, friendly and worth-while convention in the history of the World Council of Young Men’s Service Clubs. The facilities that ,->re available in your city for a large international conference should not be overlooked by other organisations in the city. They are a credit to the men who had the fore-
sight to bring the fine facilities to reality over the last few years. The thousand or more overseas visitors to the convention have all left your city with a new understanding of international friendship and understanding. — Yours, etc., TOM CHAPMAN, Past president, World Council of Young Men’s Service Clubs, Adelaide, South Australia. October 5, 1979.
