The duties involve the maintenance of all the station electrical equipment ranging from high voltage transformers. circuit breakers and generators through to staff houses. Registration as an Electrician is desirable but not essential. This Is a permanent postilion (after a satisfactory probationary period) and normal iannual leave, sick leave and superannuation conditions apI ply. H A remote allowance is payable and tw-o hours travelling time is paid for the daily launch journey across Lake Manapouri.
