Canterbury P.R. officer

A Wellington personnel manager has been appointed the new Canterbury Promotion Council’s first executive officer. The appointment of Mr Dunstan, aged 38, was announced by the council’s president (Mr T. M. Inch). Mr Dunstan is the New Zealand personnel manager of Colonial Mutual Life and has been with that company since 1967. He did military service from 1963 to 1967 and wds a commissioned officer in the Royal New Zealand Army Education Corps. His early years were spent at Oxford and

Christchurch. He was edu-< cated at Christchurch Boys’ High School and Canterbury University, where he completed a batchelor of art degree in 1964. During his student years he worked as a “Christchurch Star” reporter. He is a member of the Lawn Tennis Umpires’ Association and is a Davis Cup umpire. Mr Dunstan will be in charge of the Canterbury. Public Relations Office and the Christchurch Con-, vention Bureau. He is married, with two children, and will take up his new post in October.
