Receiving charge
PA Auckland Detectives investigating the murder of Margaret Bell, aged 17, on July 1, have arrested tw® Bien on a charge of receiving a large quantity of stolen liquor. Detective Inspector B. J. Rowe said the men would appear in the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland today charged with receiving liquor allegedly stolen from an Auckland warehouse about two weeks ago. The recovery of the liquor, he said, had come about as part of the continuing investigation into the killing of Miss Bell, who was shot through the head from a car as she was leaving the Mainstreet Cabaret in Queen Street about 3 a.m. on July 1.
