Weaker N.Z. market
Share prices closed on an easier, mixed note in active trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. Market leader, N.Z. Forest Products fell 2c to 247 c, while both National Insurance and South British again eased because of the disaster at Abbotsford, Dunedin. N.Z. Steel was steady at 166 c ex dividend and bonus. Ajax G.K.N. gained 20c to 230 c on its higher profit, and N.Z.M.C. rose 2c to 147 c on the report that the company was developing plans for the conversion of vehicles from petrol to L.P.G. and C.N.G. — - ntc-i'C t’AHC
