Trips for apprentices
Special correspondent Hastings: Two Hastings apprentices,! Chcrie Saxon and Jimmy Cassidy.; will each have a trip away this; year. Saxon will go to invercar-• gill and Cassidy to Auckland. Saxon will be competing ini the International Apprentice! Race scheduled for November I 22. The race will be staged by i the Southland Racing Chib. Apprentices have been invited from!
Japan, Malaysia, and four states ■of Australia. Cassidy will ride in the Air New Zealand Apprentice Special, to be run at Ellerslie in early i December. This event is set down ■ for New Zealand apprentices i only. i Cassidy is the leading apprentice in the country, with 62 wins ito his credit this season. Saxon is not far behind. She is equal i fifth with 36 wins.
