Anniversary of man on moon
The Canterbury Public Library this week will celebrate the tenth anniversary of man’s first landing on the Moon. An exhibition of photographs and posters of the lunar landing will be on display until July 30 in the library foyer. Today and this Friday, a film and a slide show on space exploration will be presented in the Children’s Room, at 1 pun. The landing module of Apollo 11 touched down on the Moon’s surface at 8.17 a.m., on July 21, 1969, Ne*’ Zealand time. i
