‘Big A1' names the day

A former New Zealand rugby star, Alan Sutherland, is to wed a South African beauty queen, Vera Johns, the couple announced at the week-end.
Sutherland, aged 34, met Miss Johns during the 1976
All Black tour of South Africa. He has since settled in South Africa and is the full-time rugby coach at the university of "the Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg. Miss Johns was “Miss South Africa” in 1975. The wedding has been set for January 5 next year.
