Rings theft in hospital
Jewellery worth more than $2300 has been stolen from a patient at Princess Margaret Hospital.
A woman patient left a diamond solitaire ring and an opal ring outside a shower cubicle at the hospital, while she had a shower, a C. 1.8. spokesman has said. When she came out of the shower the rings were gone. Detectives have interviewed several people at the hospital, but no arrest had been made by last evening, and the rings had not been recovered. The Christchurch C. 1.8. is also investigating the theft of a big collection of
long-playing records from a house in Grafton Street, Waltham. The records are valued at more than $2OOO.
