Dusky Bay wins again
Canterbury’s top trial horse, Dusky Bay, once again proved his supremacy when he won his fifth Homes!y Cup at the annua] circuit horse trials run by the Canterbury area of the New Zealand Horse Society at Mount Hutt station. The cross-country course rode well, providing a good day’s competition. South Canterbury was well represented taking the first three places in the intermediate class and three of four placings in the novice. Once again the pony entries were disappointing. Phiskie’s The President 2, Miss N. Geaney’s Ginger Ale 3, Miss K. Peter’s Don Juan 4. Novice Trial: Miss K. Taylor’s Willougby 1, Miss S. Deardon’s Charisma 2, Miss D. Nelson’s Sandalwood 3, Miss J. Meare’s George 4. Open /Pony; Miss J. Srhoy’s Dominique 1, M. Thomas’s Regal Phapsody 2. Miss S. Green’s Tyburn 3. Novice Pony: Miss C. Preece’s Equality 1. Miss C. Srhoy’s Bay Minka 2, Miss C.
