The Old Stone House, now being restored, was originally the staff quarters for the Cashmere Estates and was built in 1870. The historic building was gutted by fire in 1971 and subsequently suffered extensive vandalism. It is now being renovated to serve as a community centre, for which it was used in the later years of World War II.
