PA Wellington The Government raised; just under S3OOM in its sav- [ ings stock issue, which [ closed on December 15. The final count shows that; $293.7M was subscribed by 73,750 applicants. “The number of applications was far greater than we expected, and it will be quite some time — up to two months perhaps — before we have sent out all; the notices of registration,” said the chief accountant of the Reserve Bank (Mr E. V allance).
