Normal sailings tomorrow?
I PA Wellington ! Holiday Cook Strait ferry 'crossings should be back to (normal tomorrow. ! The engine trouble that I has plagued the Aranui within a few weeks of its |$3M refit should be repaired by then, a Railways spokes-1 man said. New carbon brushes for the engine which failed on Friday are being made in Auckland and are expected to arrive late today. Most passengers were able ito get on earlier ferries and last evening some got on the 8.10 sailing of the freight ferry Arahanga. About 25 cars were stranded at Wellington overnight., If today’s 7.20 a.m., 10 a.m.i and 4 p.m. ferries cannot: cope, more holiday plans' could be disrupted.
