PA Wellington Retail egg prices rose 5c a dozen yesterday. The increase, announced by the Egg Marketing Authority, has been approved by the Department of Trade and Industry. The 5c increase will apply to all grades of loose and cartoned eggs. The rise was approved to offset increases in poultry farmers’ production costs.
