Fire-bomb attack
PA Auckland' Otahuhu detectives yesterday tried to establish a motive for an early-morning’ fire-bomb at lack on a house in Raglan Street, Mangere East. The bomh, a Molotov! cocktail, was thrown! through a bedroom window; soon after 1 a.m. It narrow-; ly missed a sleeping child. ' The bomb did not ignite. ’ Detective Sergeant B. E.l Pickering, of the Otahuhu; C. 1.8. said the child’s parents were asleep in the! house at the time. The first intimation they had of anything being wrong was when they heard the sound of breaking glass.
