Alterations to cricket
A new points system will be used for the three twoday Suburban cricket grades after January 27 this season. However competition points will still be carried right through the season. The system involves the seeding of teams in two groups, after the seventh round of matches have been played.
Group A will consist of the first, third, fifth and seventhplaced teams while the second, fourth sixth and eighthj placed sides will form Group B.
Three more matches will be played within these groups and on March 24 and 31 the winners of the groups will play off for first place while the two second, third and fourth-placed team’s will also plav off.
