Clubs receive $9.8M from T.A.B. profits

A total of S9.BM surplus , profit from the Totalisator• [Agency Board was d's-i tributed to racing and trotting clubs yesterday. Announcing this, Mr H. G. ICaliam, chairman of the; Racing Authority, said that. the amount exceeded last, .year’s allocation by SBOO.OOO or 8.9 per cent. Mr Callam said that the surplus profit received by. the authority from the; Totalisator Agency Board for! ; the year ended July 31, i 1978,- was $10,274,175. From, (this $123,004 administrative costs had been deducted.
