Stablehand comfortable
The stablehand who was savaged by a stallion at the Nevele R. Stud, Prebbleton, on Thursday is reported in a fairly comfortable condition in the Christchurch Hospital. Darryl Carey, aged 18, was kicked and bitten by the stallion as he was leading it back to its box from an exercise paddock about 9 a.m.
Mr Carey has worked at the stud for only a few months.
