U.E.B. wins award
U.E.B. Industries, Ltd, has I won an export award which I the American Chamber of ’Commerce in New Zealand ■ established recently as a ■ contribution to the success of Export Year. The company was selected [from more than 100 exhib- : itors who took part in the [recent New Zealand trade fair to Los Angeles, including all New Zealand’s, carpet manufacturers. U.E.B’s stand at the exhibition featured all-wool carpet designed specially for the United States market. Mr H. A. Purcell, execu-; tive manager of the American Chamber of Commerce: in New Zealand, said in Wellington that a selection panel from the Los Angeles I area Chamber of Commerce! and Industry chose the

; executive of the company to I {make a two-week visit to! {the United States for further! investigation of the American market directed towards! improving export knowledge available to New Zealand’ exporters. U.E.B. has also been closedy associated with the granting of an award “for creativity and excellence in [design” from the American [Society of Interior Designers. The society made the award to a carpet exhibition held in Washington by the [Wool Bureau, the American [branch of the International Wool Secretariat. The dis-!
