Bonsai trees stolen
Twenty bonsai trees, valued about $4OO. were stolen from the Zenith Garden Centre in Cashmere at the week-end.
The miniature shurbs. each planted in earth-colour-ed pottery' bowls, are about 15cm high. The police are also investigating the theft of] $3OOO worth of welding!
equipment from an industrial firm in Hands Road, Riccarton. It was stolen between Saturday night and Monday.
A stereo, clothing, and (blankets and bedclothes, valJ.ued at $4OO, were taken durling a daylight burglary of a | Cashel Street flat. The (thieves broke into the flat i between 7.30 a.m. and 4.50 ;lp.m.
