BASKETBALL Results from the New Zealand I Junior girls’ basketball tournament in Wanganui:—New Plymouth 46. Auckland 30; Tauranga 51, Otago 50; North Shore 47 Wanganui 43; Wellington 61. Canterbury 52. HOCKEY Marlborough, Canterbury, and Walrarapa were the only teams to emerge with unblemished records after the third and fourth rounds of. the national primary schoolboys’ Hatch Cup hockey tournament at Stratford Walrarapa leads Section C with four straight wins, while Marlborough and Canterbury have three wins and a bye. Results:— Section A.—Wellington 2, Franklin 1; Central Hawke’s Bay 3, North Otago 0; Manawatu 1, Auckland 1; Wellington 1, North Otago 0; Manawatu 5, Franklin 1; Marlborough 3 Central Hawke’s Bay 2.
