During the August school holidays both channels present holiday programmes in the afternoon. Today is the film “The Courage of Black Beauty,” starring John Crawford, Mimi Gibson and Diana Brewster. It is the story of a young boy and the colt he is given for his birthday. A bear cub is the subject of Thursday’s film, “Li’l Scratch,” which stars wildlife photographer and writer Larry Jones. Frosty the Snowman, who comes to life during the winter.
