Tai Tapu assurance
Tai Tapu residents were assured last evening that there was a scheme planned to relieve the flooding problem in the area. However, the chairman of the North Canterbury Catchment Board (Dr W. R. Holmes) said he could not release details of the scheme to the meeting of the Tai Tapu Residents’ Association I until it had been discussed with the Paparua, Ellesmere, and Waiwera county councils. About 50 residents attended the meeting, which concentrated on drainage and flooding problems.
