Irishman to be deported
PA Dunedin An Irishman who has lived in New Zealand “on and off” since 1956 was ordered to be deported when he appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Dunedin on a charge of overstaying a temporary permit. The man, whose name was suppressed, pleaded guilty through Mr P. J. Reardon, who said he had been caught up in the new regulations on permanent residence. He had lived and worked in New Zealand much of the time since 1956, was married to a New Zealand woman and had four children.
