Changes at N.Z. Forest

PA Auckland Messrs J. T. Currie and D. O. Walker have been appointed joint managing directors of N.Z. Forest Products, Ltd. in succession to Mr A. W. Mackney. Mr Mackney, who has been managing director since October, 1973, will retire after having reached the retiring age for executives.

When Mr Currie retires on January 31, Mr Walker will continue as sole managing director. The company’s chairman (Mr A. G. Wilson) has also announced Mr Walker’s appointment as chairman of the executive committee of the company. Mr Mackney remains on the board. Messrs Currie and Walker have been deputy managing directors since October, 1973, with the additional appointments of resident director, Kinleith (Mr Currie) and marketing director (Mr Walker). Mr J. E. Henry, director of forestry and sawmilling, will become resident director, Kinleith. Mr D. F. Fowlds, director of manufacturing, will become director of manufacturing and technical. Mr R. G. Alexander, associate director of marketing, is now in charge of marketing.
