Ellesmere squad

The ranks of the Ellesmere representative rugby squad will be a little thin when the first training run is held at Waihora on Sunday morning. This is because eight of the chosen players will be touring the Seddon Shield districts as members of the Canterbury sub-unions’ side. They will not be back until next Wednesday. The selectors have chosen 21 players to form the squad, and intend to add one more later. The members of the squad are:— B. Dunbar, B. Narby (Peninsula), D. Ngatai, L. Pederson (Bumham), B. Farmer, G. Sanderson (Diamond Harbour), G. Dawson, C. Rhodes (Darfield). D. B. Hayes, G. B. Henderson, P. Seymour, D. Smolensk! (Kirwee), B. L. Henderson, D. J. Stewart (Leeston), D. Campbell, D. Cameron, E. Kerr, L. Roberts, P. Shannon (Lincoln), A. Jenkins (Sheffield), W. Love (Southbridge).
