Four tries fail to save Wales

NZPA Canberra The Australian Capital Territory rugby team scored a surprise 21-20 victory over Wales at Manuka Oval yesterday. Wales led, 16-6, at halftime in front of a crowd of 6500. A huge penalty count in favour of the local team enabled A.C.T. to keep in contact after Wales scored four tries to one. Scorers were:—A.C.T.l i Peter O’Neill try, Dominic | O’Connell one conversion, I four penalty goals and a dropped goal. Wales: Pat Daniels, Gareth Evans, David Richards and Terry Holmes tries, Alun Donovan two conversions.
