PA New Plymouth Taranaki proved too fast for the bigger Northland side at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth, yesterday and convincingly won its fourth defence of the Rugby League Challenge Cup. 32-14. Taranaki played a good running game from the start and was rewarded with three tries within the first Hl minutes. The first went to B. Tumoana, two minutes after the kick-off; G. West and H. Tamati combined well to put .1. Gwiazdzlnski over for the second, and shortly afterwards J. Cooper stored to give Taranaki a 9-0 lead. _
