PA Wellington j The Labour Party has| dropped the member of Parliament for Hutt (Mr T. J.j Young) from the Parliamentary Statutes Revision Com-; mittee to make room for the j Social Credit leader, Mr B.i C. Beetham. The Government now has! six members on the commit-; tee, Labour three, and Social! Credit one. Labour members on the

committee are Dr A. M. Finlay, Mr A. J. Faulkner, and Labour’s spokesman on Justice, Mr D. R. Lange. Labour had wanted the Government to increase the size of the committee to give IMr Beetham a place, but it declined to do this, insisting that he should have one of the four Opposition places. Mr Young, a lawyer, was chairman of the committee under the Labour Government.
