Woman hit by car
An elderly Christchurch woman died after she was struck by a car at the Papanui roundabout last evening. The woman, aged 60, suffered severe multiple injuries in the accident, which occurred at " 6.37 p.m. She was taken by St John ambulance to Christchurch Hospital, but was found to be dead on arrival. Her name was not available last evening. The occupant of the car was not injured, the police said.
