League trial
Thirty of the most promising rugby league players in Canterbury have taken the first step towards winning selection for the provincial team to tour New South Wales later this year by being named for the trial match at Spreydon Domain on Sunday.
Regrettably, the Canterbury A loose forward, Wayne Wallace (Hornby), is not available for the trip, but quite a number of the other contenders have had experience in the premier grade. The touring party will include 22 players. The trialists are. —
