State house savings of $6.6M
PA Wellington The Housing Corporation saved $6.6M last year by making better use of its ; rental houses, said the Minister of Housing (Mr Holland). ( In the 1977-7$ financial I year, 540 tenant transfers were arranged, which made an extra 680 bedrooms available to corporation applicants. he said. This had the effect of saving 230 houses. The comparable figures last year were 213 houses (saved, or 55.3 M.
