Teacher shot
The 13-year-old son of President Lyndon Johnson’s former press secretary walked into school with a .22 rifle on Wednesday and shot his English teacher dead, the police have said. John Christian, whose father, George, was White’ House Press Secretary from 1966 to 1968, was grabbed by another teacher as he ran off after the shooting. The police said that there was no apparent motive for the killing.—Austin (Texas).
