N.I. riders take cups

PA Gisborne The final day of the New Zealand Pony Club championships on Saturday belonged to Warwick Graham, Of the Gisborne-Wairoa-East Coast team, and Lynley’ Fife, from Waikato. The two riders produced perfect rounds over both the tough cross-country and show jumping courses to win the Al Cup and Doro-

thy Campbell Trophy respectively. While most riders in the Al section found the crosscountry course too demanding, Graham simply cruised through and was not penalised at all. With a faultless round of show jumping he remained with just his dressage penalty score of 39.56, and took the cup from Lynda Toms, of Waikato, who scored 43.89.
